Fr. Benzen Bids Goodbye to HCP

Fr. Benzen D. Valiyaveetil, CP, also known as Fr. Benz, bade goodbye to Holy Cross Parish on Dec 28, 2013. A high-spirited, friendly, and  hard-working parish vicar, Fr. Benz, tearfully left General Santos Airport on January 2, 2014.

“We will surely miss Fr. Benz’ joyful presence in the parish office,” says Nenet Molles, the parish secretary. She adds “He is truly loved by the parishioners, not only because of his  positive vibes, but also the way he gives funny and inspiring homilies in the masses he celebrates.”

“This good friend is easy-and-fun-to-be with. You could hardly hear him complain having many masses and sick calls in the parish. Language is not a barrier for his exemplary pastoral work. He is my inspiration,” expresses the parish priest Fr. Rogie Castellano, CP.

Fr. Benz stayed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary  Parish , Sun Valley, Paranque City for a month and visited different parishes and Passionist communities in Luzon.

A native of Kerala Province, Fr. Benz flew back to India on Feb. 7. He reports to his new assignment in Jamaica sometime in March.
